Family

This is what I see the All-Star Game is about....Family. Sure, the players get bonuses, MLB makes a bucketload of money, fans get to see the longball, great pitching, hitting, catching, lots of fun and just all around baseball. I still wish they'd show some pics of Lowell and his kids...hopefully they will on tv. So although I am out of town on business and trying to get alot of work done....I'll be watching and waiting for some smiles from our boys.

Saw those yesterday, and I KNEW you would post at least one of them!

BTW, in Baltimore, you have to give me a quick blogging lesson to show me how to post multiple pictures!

Hope the trip is going well, and I know you're pumped about Boston next week.

Great photos, Tex. It's great to see the players with their families.

Just saw Mikey in the line up for the All Star reserves. :) Oh yeah, and some kid named Beckett. Think he's from Texas

I love seeing those kids, because there's a joy in their eyes that most of their idols have lost. The joy of being in that huge stadium, smelling the grass, seeing the field, hearing the crack of the bat and the snap of ball on glove...too many of the grown ups have lost it.

The kids get it.

Wait a minute: Beckett is from Texas? Isn't that where you live Tex?

And thanks for the hint: I'll try it tomorrow night.

And your boy pitched very well tonight. Stupid ARod letting the ball get past him.

::In best Fred Sanford voice::

ARod, you big Dummy!

It was good to see Manny finally show up at one of these things. Maybe he was waiting for Mini Manny to be old enough to have some fun.
