Good Things come to those who wait....

and wait....and wait....and wait....just ask any fan of the Red Sox. In the last 5 years, I have began taking a new philosophy in life...well perhaps a few. Believe...Do Not Settle....and Always Look for the Good in the Bad. Those phrases have been tested many times...many ways. But I firmly believe that you should never settle on a choice that isn't what you truly dreamed of and in every bad situation....There IS some Good......sometimes you just may have to look in each and every crack and behind the couch to find it. You wonder why I am writing all this blather? Well....there are a few of us wondering when Lugo will quit sucking. Let's just say that Lugo is pondering that too....along with the rest of the boys. But let's face it...we have to root for our boys, no matter what they do. Do ya think that booing them will encourage them to do better?? Nope...they'll just keep sucking...so let's get behind them and be positive. I know it's hard...but we have to. just think how you'd feel if your co-workers started telling you how bad you sucked...and not constructive criticism...booing and hissing...wouldn't feel good huh? Do you notice who's pic I put up?

Ellsbury made his first hit this weekend in the major league and that's GOT to be some GOOD Right??

So come on...let's get behind the boys and ROOT for them. You can do like my Soxsistahs do and do a postcard shower....or bring signs saying you love them....we are still in 1st place...the yankees are still behind us...they lost today SO can I hear a "Let's Go Red Sox...clapclap clapclapclap..."?

Let's go Red Sox, let's go: clap, clap!

Right there with you Texas: though I was stomping and yelling, and using all my substitue curse words for the 9th inning today: thought for sure Papi was gonna work a little magic late.

I will, however, Keep the Fair: tomorrow is a new day, and thankfully for us, the AL East as a whole continues to suck like a Hoover.

Glad you made it home safe, and I'm looking forward to some pictures of the trip.

I have about 1000 pics to go through to see which ones to keep and put up. I have to get this done before I go to Boston. Kelly was kind enough to lend me a 2 gig memorycard to hold alot of pics. I'll be working on them this week. Got loads to do as I have a business trip to go on next Sunday for a week...then fly back to Austin on 13th..and fly out on 14th to Manchester. I need an assistant

Maybe JET is looking for a new career.

Tex said...

huh?? JET??

Ted D said...

Yes Tex: JET. Remember she wanted to be Kelly's assistant?

If I have to be the one to remember things, we're in trouble.

Tex, is not your point in this:

"But I firmly believe that you should never settle on a choice that isn't what you truly dreamed of"

Exaclty what my point was in Sweet Spot Part Deux?

Well, you asked for it, Tex.

NOW Mattie's over here arguing with you. You should really feel like a member of the family now. :)

Be careful what you wish for.

Ted D said...

Yeah Tex: one thing about ol' Blueberry Muffin; the boy will argue with a fence post about ANYTHING.

You ever met someone who knows EVERYTHING? If not, you'll meet him in September.

And it's not me.

Tex said...

\\the boy will argue with a fence post about ANYTHING.//

Ted a sentence from my French post "Cajun-persona. We are hard-headed and determined folks...we don't give up...we argue with a fence post....but we have this "Joie de Vivre" (the Joy of Life) inside us as well."

ya see...me and Mattie are alot more alike than ya think. So I can argue with the best of them.

Matt. we are saying the same thing. one of my passions is helping people realize goals and encouraging them to reach them...but not foregoing their responsibilities at the present. Matt...you DO understand that these conversations will occur over beer in Baltimore but NOT at the game...i think we'd overwhelm Ted and he'd drown.

yah I know Stacy...i opened up my own can of worms....no worries, i'll just throw some ketchup on 'em.

::breathes sigh of release::

Tex said...

release?? or relief?? cos I want to know what you're releasing...so i can run

Ted D said...

Relief, relief, relief! LOL.

Tree Newt said...

Tex, again, we agree. Not talking about foregoing responsiblity, but being open to change. Change is scary, and many times when the opportunity comes, we run from it. I don't want to run.

And I believe this makes 3 posts in one day from me. Just for the record.

Ted D said...

Yep: three.

Now stop patting yourself on the back!

Mattie a quote for YOU:

We don't know all the reasons that propel us on a spiritual journey, but somehow our life compels us to go. Something in us knows that we are not just here to toil at our work. There is a mysterious pull to remember.

not my words...a quote from some author name Jack Kornfield

Tex, I like that! A "pull to remember." Very cool.

4 times, Jr.

Ted D said...

Jeez, you need attention, don't you.

You have GOT to be adopted. ;)
