Happy Fathers Day to ALL you Dads

So this is a pic of my family when I was 5 yrs old. So of course that's my dad with me sitting on his lap. See that mischievious grin on my face?? Yep....I ain't changed. Well except I AM a couple of feet taller and longer hair...well bigger boobs too. But the same blue eyes and smirky grin are still there. But this ain't about me....it's about my dad.

I know I'm very fortunate to have my dad still around. I treasure the time we spend together. I have been trying to go to my dad's family reunions in Myrtle Beach every year. I'm not able to be with him on Father's Day but will be going home at the end of the month to spend most of a week with him. Since I can't be with him today....I wanted to seem like I'm with him...with the power of the internet and a picture of our family.

just want to say Happy Father's Day to those fathers who read my blog sometimes...Ted, Scott, Matt, Horsham...and any other of you fathers out there. Put your feet up, take a load off and enjoy a day of relaxation. Well except if you're Ted....he'll be napping with one eye open towards that swingset he put in the backyard. :)

Wow. That is one onery looking girl sitting on her Dad's lap!

Tex, that is great your Dad is still with you. I feel the same way: my Pop will turn 71 this year, and after having a major heart attack a few year's back, I treasure every time I get with him.

You better get back to one of those reunions at MB and stop off here: you have a niece and 2 nephews you want to meet "Aunt Tex".

And you hit the nail on the head: we sleep with one eye open and one ear to the ground around here: no rest for the weary. Or wicked. Whichever you prefer.

Thanks for the shout out Tex: means a lot.

I get my traveling lust from my dad. I didnt get to spend as much time with my dads family growing up as much as my mom's. My mom's family was where I grew up. So I want to really reach out more and connect with that family more...and most of them are in north and south carolina...SO...Im sure Auntie Tex will be comin round the mountain when she comes :)
